Many of us want to lose weight but as much as we wanted too, it is hard to find a weight loss plan that will work for us. It is because weight loss industry has been growing so fast that it offers us too many weight loss plans that we may try and possibly get a positive result. But even having all of these weight loss plans, media has been subliminally affecting our lifestyle. Why? Media had been creating a lot of ads about fast foods and when we see that, our body reacts to the subliminal stimulus that would make us decide that we want to eat fast foods. Fast food ads have been in every media while healthy foods are not really that advertised. This is the main reason why most of us are having some issues with health and lifestyle. Different approaches have been used in weight loss plans. Low fat diet plan will help us lose weight and keep our cholesterol balanced. This is what we all know but now it has been claimed that it’s not all true. Fat is also needed in our body because it is a component that gives signal to our body when it is time to stop eating. Imagine this, when fat is totally removed, it will be harder for us to achieve weight loss because there is no signal that will stop us from eating. Cravings are being satiated by fats. This gives the Low fat diet plan a very low success rate. Aside from that, fat is also needed to keep our skin healthy and also helps our digestive system. Absence of fat can cause constipation. Then the low carbohydrate consumption came. The earliest advocacy on this was promoted in New Revolution diet book by Dr. Atkins to show that there are other weight loss plans aside from low fat diet. Many had claimed that they shed off pounds on this diet. Despite of these claims, this die made a negative impact because many have also claimed that they cannot let go of the carbohydrates. In this diet, the body is going to be subjected to a very low carbohydrate intake for about two weeks. Then carbohydrate intake will be increased to the right level which makes the body keep up its ideal weight. However with the shock of sudden change on carbohydrate intake, most people went back to their regular carbohydrate consumption in just several months.

How to assess a weight loss program – Thousands of men and women, losing weight has become very difficult. The dieting industry has produceed hundreds of diets plans, pills and weight reduction techniques – many of which are fad diets that are downright dangerous to our health. America has the US Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) and other regulators, try their upmost to monitor product safety but problems and uncertainties still occur.

One large problem is the growth in the number of so called “doctor-designed” weight loss plans which – because they are designed by a health professional – should be above reproach. Sadly this is not true. I have reviewed many of these so-called medically-approved weight loss plans that I wouldn’t recommend to any person who is lookin to lose weight.

Other diets are designed by PhD holders who then trumpet their title of ‘Doctor’ across the packaging, saying they hold a medical qualification which will guarantee the healthy nature of their weight loss program and state their product works.

If an author has qualifications and are contained in their diet book this is no longer sufficient to guarantee its reliability. This also applies to its sales figures. The diet plan in question may be a “fashion item” (witness the incredible popularity of the Atkins Diet, which then slumped when low carb diets stopped being fashionable, leaving no discernible dent in obesity figures), but also because TV advertising has such an influence on how much people spend.

When trying to assess a weight loss program read reviews and user statements about the products.

Motivation is a must if you are going to be successful in your weight loss journey. In addition to getting the right program that works for your lifestyle you have to find ways to stay motivated so you see yourself through to your realistic goal that you have set for yourself.

As a weight loss consultant I teach people many different ways to stay motivated. Just as everyone is different and everyone needs to follow a weight loss plan specifically built for their personal lifestyle everyone finds motivation in different ways. I wanted to share with you my top 5 motivational weight loss tips in hopes that you too will find motivation and apply it to your weight loss plan.

Motivation Tip 1: In order to keep your focus on your desire to lose weight make a list of all the reasons why you want to lose weight. Keep it is plain site, tape it to your mirror in your bathroom and read them each morning when you wake up. If you are in your car a lot and you tend to eat fast food put a copy in your car. Tape it to your steering wheel or visor.

Motivation Tip 2: If you are looking to lose a lot of weight such as 100 pounds. Break out your calendar and set your goals. Be very realistic here. Example your current weight is 190 pounds you ultimate goal is 130. Let’s say it is January 1st set your first goal of 15 pounds then realistically plan for that and give it a date. Say March 5th (this will give you 9 weeks to lose 15 pounds). Set shorter lower mile stones at first to give you momentum then spread it out a little as you go.

Motivation Tip 3: Plan a treat for yourself when you have had a great week. Make it non food related such as get a pedicure, facial, buy some make-up. Anything that will help make you feel even better about yourself and your great progress.

Motivation Tip 4: Take a picture of yourself in a swimsuit or something that will show your body better. Each month on the same date take another picture in the same outfit. Doing this will make you feel great seeing how baggy the outfits gets each month, keep the pictures close by so you can look at them. Best place it to post them on your bathroom mirror, the reason I say that is you will see them every morning and that will remind you to make the best choices you can each day.

Motivation Tip 5: Read inspirational stories of other people who have lost weight. Do read into how they did it just read about their success for what it is success. Every person is different so the plan that someone follows doesn’t mean it will work for anyone. If you hire a weight loss consultant (recommended) ask them to hook you up with other clients for a support group they should be more than happy to do that and the other clients would like it too.

In conclusion there are many ways to find motivation for weight loss. As a consultant I have found that these 5 tips listed above have proven to work for several clients over and over again. Feel free to contact me for more motivational tips if you are looking for additional resources.

Drgily.com is proud to introduce their free on-line weight loss
program, “Weight Loss For Life”. What sets it apart from other
programs available on-line is its exclusive reliance on
scientific evidence and its ease of use.

Similar to other on-line weight loss program, the experience at
drgily.com starts by creating a personal account. But this is
where the similarities end. Based on the information given at
registration, a personal profile is generated that includes the
user’s healthy weight range, total calorie requirements, daily
calorie allowance and his/her body mass index. The users are
then helped to set up realistic weight loss goals, monitor their
daily diet and physical activity through a simple and intuitive
self-monitoring system, and plot their weight on a weekly weight
change graph. Also, a color coded calendar provides a quick and
powerful way to assess their overall performance one month at a
time.

The “Weight Loss For Life” program has two phases: 1) “The
Weight Loss Phase”, for the first 6 months, and 2) “The Weight
Maintenance Phase”, for the next 6 to 12 months. During the
first phase participants are taught the “Ten Commandments of
Weight Loss” that enables them to reach their short-term weight
loss goal. After the 6 months milestone, the weight maintenance
phase begins, and the healthy habits developed in the first
phase are consolidated.

All recommendations are based on the landmark report issued by
the National Institutes of Health and the National Heart, Lung,
and Blood Institute: “Clinical Guidelines on the Identification,
Evaluation, and Treatment of Overweight and Obesity in Adults -
The Evidence Report”. The program was designed to be a
practical, personalized implementation of these guidelines. As
stated above, this is what makes it unique among the myriad of
on-line weight loss programs.

Your body weight is really controlled by the number of calories you eat and the number of calories you use each day through things like exercise and physical activity. This means that to lose weight, you actually need to take in fewer calories each day than you use so that there is deficit in calories consumed. There are two ways to do this – by becoming more physically active or by eating less each day. Following a weight loss program that helps you to become more physically active and also decrease the amount of calories that you eat, is the best way to achieve successful weight loss.
To lose weight and keep it off, you should be aware of the different types of programs that are available. You should also look at what makes up a good program. Knowing this information can help you select a weight loss program that will really work. The four types of weight loss programs include:
Do-It-Yourself Programs
1. Any effort to lose weight by yourself or with a support group either on or offline, fits in the “do-it-yourself” category. People using a do-it-yourself program rely on group support, and products such as diet books, for advice.
Non-Clinical Programs
2. These programs tend to be commercially operated, such as privately-owned, weight loss chains. They often use books and pamphlets that are prepared by healthcare providers but use counselors who are not usually trained healthcare providers. Some of these programs require participants to use the program’s food or supplements.
Clinical Programs
3. This type of program is usually provided in a healthcare setting, such as a hospital, by licensed health professionals, including physicians, nurses, dietitians, and/or psychologists. In some clinical programs, a health professional works alone; in others, a group of health professionals works together to provide services to patients. These clinical programs offer services such as nutrition education, medical care, behavior change therapy, and physical activity. Clinical programs may also use other weight loss methods, such as very low calorie diets, weight loss drugs, and surgery, to treat severely overweight patients. All of these programs would be carefully supervised during implementation.
Surgery
4. Gastric bypass surgeries are combination procedures that use both restriction and malabsorption to achieve weight loss. Because it is a combination approach, it tends to be more successful for weight loss than purely restrictive surgeries. Gastric bypass surgery may be an option if you are significantly obese and have tried unsuccessfully to lose weight on diet and exercise programs and are unlikely to lose weight successfully with non-surgical methods.
If you are considering a weight-loss program and you have medical problems, or if you are severely overweight, then programs or surgery run or conducted by trained health professionals are probably your best option. These professionals are more likely to monitor you for possible side effects of weight loss and will help you to lose weight successfully and safely.
Whether you decide to use the do-it-yourself, non-clinical, or clinical approach, the program you opt for should help you lose weight and help you to keep it off by teaching you healthy eating and exercise habits that you will be able to use for years to come.

Perhaps there is an inner voice saying that nothing looks good on me or theres no point in even going out. How many times have you thought that perhaps it is time to get serious with your weight loss plans.

The one surefire way to lose weight is to eat less and exercise more. However, most people find this the most difficult thing to do. It tends to be a struggle with oneself, and people are often disheartened by it; its just too hard. If you are like most people then you probably do want to lose wieght, but would want it to be as painless and as fast as possible. You have tried the different diet tricks but unfortunately not one of them seems to be working for you.

If you have tried all sorts of diet pills and diet programs then it is time to consider another alternative which may just work for you. A better and more effective alternative is hypnosis for weight loss.

Hypnosis is used to help people release themselves of issues and problems that they have been struggling with for some time without much progress. Hypnosis goes directly to the root of the problem, and helps you make changes with ease and comfort. Hypnosis has been used very effectively for weight loss. It is designed for you in mind, helping you create long term results; creating healthy new habits with eating and exercise….naturally. Obesity is on the rise and people are on the lookout for anything that will solve their weight problems, so why not try hypnosis for weight loss?

Hypnosis resembles a deep, relaxing meditation allowing you to access your inner mind. This is where you have your old habits stored, and from there you can create new habits easily whilst being guided on how to do it. The new habits are of your own choosing and you can design them to suit your own needs and lifestyle. Since hypnosis for weight loss makes use of natural ways to slim you down, you need to have a lot of discipline to make the program successful. Availing of hypnosis for weight loss for just one session will not solve your obesity or weight loss problems so do not think of it as a quick fix. Hypnosis for weight loss is actually a long term program that will have very favorable effect if you just follow the procedure.

If you use a hypnosis program for weight loss, such as an audio CD, or perhaps you go to someone to work on the issue, you will find yourself in a deep, relaxed state. In this state, you will be able to visualise yourself thinner, and feel the positive feelings that go with that. The more you visualise and feel it, the more your body will respond naturally. The mind and body are one system; they work together. When the mind thinks in a certain direction, the body responds to get the results. If you want to develop healthy eating habits then you can use hypnosis to help you do this with ease and comfort rather than struggling with yourself on a daily basis.

There are studies that indicate positive results of hypnosis for weight loss programs. By listening to a hypnosis weight loss program everyday you will have the desire to eat healthy, eat the right amount of food that your body requires and ultimately to eat to become fit and healthy. You will be able to implement new exercise habits in the same way; naturally, and with ease and comfort.

If you have tried dieting and various weight loss program, and nothing has worked for you over the long term; it means that your inner thoughts and habits require some focused attention. When you work on the inside, the outside follows naturally. Think about trying hypnosis to release this unwanted weight, change your habits, and create a healthier, happier you for the rest of your life.

A couple of weeks ago I’ve heard again the same old argument, “If weight loss programs would really work, then we would all look great. But we don’t look all that great, so it means weight loss cures are a total waste of time and money!”

You’ve probably heard or thought about something similar too at some point in your life if you’ve ever tried any kind of weight loss program.

I believe that quick weight loss cures don’t work because people fall too often pray to less-than-honest advertising campaigns, spend money on “miracle products” and get no results whatsoever.

So what would really work?

Is there any such a thing as a miracle quick weight loss cure or miracle pill? The short and long answer is, of course, “No!”

Weight loss cures and programs would be benefited if the accent would be shifted not so much on losing weight as on improving the general health of the individual. Furthermore, many specialists report that change in general lifestyle cannot be accomplished effectively unless it involves the whole family of the individual in facing weight issues.

What can one do to improve his or her health, well being and self image?

Procrastination is the number one challenge you will have to face if you want to make durable changes in your life. I mean what can happen if you don’t take your 30-minute walk today? Nothing, really.

There’ll be time that you will skip your walk more and more often and then your gym classes because it will be harder for you to do a full body workout when you’ve done no exercise at all during the week. By the way, 2 hours once a week is not that effective anyway.

And then there are all the small treats you just can’t say no to. And does it really make such a great difference if you’ll eat a little chocolate today, or a double cheeseburger?

When I needed to find a weight loss cure that really works I’ve tried a lot of things. I’m not saying they are all waste of time, but I didn’t like neither one of them. There are friends of mine who swear by Atkins or Hoodia or who knows what else, but I’ve never had any success with any of the well known weight loss programs.

And I am not the type that goes to the gym either. I simply hate to sweat at the gym. I am doing all the chores that needs to be done around the house, I love gardening and I spend a lot of time playing with my dogs, but I just cannot make myself get up and going to the gym.

Plus I love to cook and I love to eat.

Sounds hopeless, isn’t it?

Well, it would be hopeless if I would be into quick weight loss, but I am not.

I’ve set myself a simple goal: I have to lose 1 (one) pound per month. It would have taken me 3 years to reach a healthy weight. It sounds like an eternity and it may well be so for people who expect miracles.

But look at it my way – I didn’t have to make major adjustments in my lifestyle right from day one. All I did was to eat a little less fries than usual and some more veggies. And then I’ve started to drink less sweet carbonated drinks.

It took me more than a year to give up fries and cola, but I’ve done it and I was so proud of myself. I still don’t go to the gym, but I do walk for 30 minutes four times a week and I do try not to use the elevator at work.

And so, with minor adjustments over a long period of time I’ve come to achieve my goal and I haven’t gained any weight back!

From the very first day you made up your mind to lose weight, you should make that commitment and go into it with a positive attitude. losing weight can be quite a challenge. In fact, for some, it can be very tough. It takes time, practice, discipline and support to change lifetime habits. But it’s a process you must learn in order to succeed.

Your emotions are like muscles and the ones you use most grow the strongest. If you always look at the negative side of things, you’ll become a depressed, pessimistic person. Even slightly negative thoughts have a greater impact on you and last longer than powerful positive thoughts.

No good thing comes out of negative thinking, it just holds you back from accomplishing the things you want to do. When a negative thought creeps into your mind, replace it reminding yourself that you’re somebody, you have self-worth and you possess unique strengths and talents. Contemplate what lies ahead of you. Losing weight is not just about diets. It’s about a whole new you and the possibility of creating a new life for yourself. Investigate the weight loss programs that appeal to you and that you feel will teach you the behavioral skills you need to stick with throughout the weight-loss process. First you should look for support among family and friends. It can be an enormous help to discuss obstacles and share skills and tactics with others on the same path. You might look for this support from others you know who are in weight loss programs and you can seek guidance from someone you know who has lost weight and kept it off.

Keep in mind, too, that your weight loss program will most likely include some physical exercises. Look at the exercising aspect of your program as fun and recreation and not as a form of grueling and sweaty work. The fact is that physical fitness is linked inseparable to all personal effectiveness in every field. Anyone willing to take the few simple steps that lie between them and fitness will shortly begin to feel better, and the improvement will reflect itself in every facet of their existence.

Weight loss at it’s core, is self hypnosis. The process begins with knowing what you want, in this case, a successful weight loss program. The “knowing” what you want makes it so much easier to ask for what you want. Knowing, brings clarity and focus to the asking process.

Clarity and focus bring a sense of confidence. At the very center of your weight loss program, is a personal inner confidence. Let’s face it, confidence is really just a quiet inner sense of knowing. This becomes your weight loss self hypnosis program at work. The “knowing” puts the Law of Attraction in motion.

Until you can manage the self hypnosis process I just described, your weight loss program will not properly begin. The process again is simple. Knowing first builds the desire. That desire creates more focus, and then a confidence path begins. As the path gains depth and momentum, the quiet confidence builds and turns into an assertive weight loss approach, to manifest “the knowing”. It’s that “knowing” or self hypnosis that enforces and sustains the weight loss program.

Being assertive is one of the most desired character qualities people strive for. There are volumes written on being assertive and it’s approach to weight loss programs. In the end, being assertive is just a self hypnotic commitment to self. Almost like the law of attraction.

If being assertive towards your weight loss goal is what you desire, your focus is clear already, and you have actually begun your own self hypnosis program to being assertive and thus, a weight loss program begins with confidence. Keeping it in context here, a self hypnosis program builds a more assertive and confident you. It’s that “knowing”, or weight loss program that manifests through the self hypnosis focus. It’s not complicated at all, but rather just a process.

Simply put, being assertive toward your weight loss program enhances your chances for success. There are two programs on the subject of self hypnosis.
